Ann was born on May 5, 1927, and lost her courageous battle with cancer on February 21, 2014.

She was a native of California, raised in Los Angeles. Ann was one of four children born to Pete and Irene Gevorkian.

Ann met her loving husband, Albert, who lived in Fresno, in their pre-teen years in Los Angeles at his sister's wedding. They continued a long distance courtship until their marriage in 1949, when she moved to Fresno to begin their life together. Their marriage of nearly 55 years was loving and happy.

Arden Farms Dairy in Los Angeles was Ann's first job out of school. She was trained in every aspect of the Ice Cream Division so that she was able to step into any position when a fellow worker was absent. She enjoyed her work, and upon her marriage, transferred to the Fresno division, and continued working there for 21 years. When Arden Farms closed the Fresno plant, Ann worked for Evans Rebuilt Parts as a parts assembler for the next 26 years.

Family and friends were an important part of Ann's life. She was an active member of St. Paul Armenian Church Ladies Society, and was one of the women who participated in the early days of The Baking Angels. She was a Home Guild LIFE Member of the California Armenian Home and enjoyed working with the Guild for many years. Her favorite hobby was crocheting and she enjoyed sharing many of her hand made treasures.

Ann is survived by her sister-in-law, Caroline Agajanian; many nieces and nephews, and their families; and her wide circle of friends.

She is reunited in death, with her beloved husband, Albert; parents, Pete and Irene Gevorkian; sister, Manya Misakian; brothers, John and Martin Gevorkian; brother in law, Charlie Agajanian, sisters in law, Annette Gevorkian, Rose Tolegian, Doris Marikian, and Louise Astourian.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul Armenian Church on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Paul Armenian Church, 3767 N. First St., Fresno, CA 93726; or Hinds Hospice, 2490 W. Shaw Ave, #101, Fresno, CA 93711.
